Meet the Board Members

Since Chris' dad is a retired band director, she has been involved in music pretty much since birth.  Chris and her husband, Kevin, have three children who were/currently are involved in music at DGN.  Both Rebecca (Class of 2020) and Allison (Class of 2023) were involved in marching band, pep band, and wind ensemble; and Jared (Class of 2026) adds jazz band and concert band to the mix.  Outside of FOFA, Chris works part-time as an ER nurse and enjoys traveling and playing board games/cards with her family.

Stephanie is a proud mother of three, with two of her children actively involved in the Fine Arts at DGN. Her senior is a member of both the Trojan Marching Band and Symphonic Band, while her junior showcases his talent in the Jazz Lab Band and Symphonic Orchestra. Stephanie's youngest, a 6th grader, is also making waves as a bassist. Passionate about the impact of Fine Arts, she balances her full-time role as a Senior Business Systems Analyst with volunteering for FOFA. Scouts BSA, and the DGFUMC.

Lori has a freshman daughter at DGN who is involved with the concert and jazz bands playing flute and saxophone.  Lori's son is a 7th grader at Herrick Middle School and he looks forward to when he can join his older sister at DGN starting in 2026. Lori is a CPA and has a career investigating white collar crimes.  She is excited to support FOFA in the role of treasurer!

Karrie has two children, Lucas (Class of 2026) and Andie (Class of 2028) heavily involved in the fine arts programs at DGN.  She has a deep appreciation for music, theater, and art programs.  She wants to support efforts to bring additional funding and support to these programs at DGN.  Karrie works part-time as a landscape designer and account manager.  In her spare time she enjoys karate, knitting and ultimate frisbee with her family.

As a former choir kid and a lifelong lover of the fine arts, Jessica has a deep appreciation for the positive impact that arts programs have on our children. She has been an active volunteer for the Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) for 3 years now, where she dedicates her time and passion to supporting the DGN arts community.

Her daughter, Grace, is a senior in the band program, and her son, Oscar, is a freshman, making her family proud and enthusiastic supporters of The Trojan Marching Band.  Jessica cherishes the experiences and memories that are created through art, music and performance and is honored to help foster an environment where all students can thrive and express themselves creatively in a variety of artistic disciplines.

Jennifer has 2 children who have been heavily involved with the Fine Arts programs at DGN. Finn graduated in 2023 and was active with the theatre department earning the Christopher Graff scholarship in 2023. Grace, a current Sophomore, is a member of both Concert Singers and Concert Choir, the Theatre department, and is involved with DGN Band as both a color guard and winter guard member. Jennifer owns The Paper Peony boutique and candle studio in downtown Downers Grove and is often hosting a custom candle fundraiser for a local school. She looks forward to being a part of the FOFA board and supporting all of the wonderful arts programs at DGN!

Sara Ferraro has two sons who are actively involved in various programs within the Fine Arts community. Specifically, they participate in theater, choir, and orchestra. Sara and her family enjoy participating in and supporting all the fine arts at DGN. Outside of her position as the Vice President of Volunteer Resources, Sara loves working as an audiologist and spending time with her family.
