The Brayer Teague Senior Scholarship for Arts Education

Brayer Teague, initially hired in 1993 as a band director, retired from his position as DGN Fine Arts Department Chairperson in the spring of 2023. Under his direction, Teague worked to merge and strengthen DGN's theatre, band, choir, orchestra, and visual art programs into the community we know today. Started in 2023, his namesake scholarship is awarded annually to a DGN high school senior who plans to pursue a collegiate art education degree. While Teague is an immensely talented percussionist and musician, his greatest passion lies in giving back to the community through the development of a quality arts education. His love for teaching has inspired many of his students to do the same.
